Z-Wave Europe based in Hohenstein-Ernstthal pioneered in importing the first Z-Wave products to Europe as a Value Added Resellers in 2008. Since then Z-Wave Europe has been the leading Value Added Distributor for Z-Wave and Zigbee based wireless home automation controls facing high and steady growth in its business.
Since November 2020, Z-Wave Europe has been cooperating under the brand Aeotec with the Samsung Electronics subsidiary “SmartThings”, the industry leader in IoT technology and home connectivity. The open platform brings devices, developers and services together to create one of the largest ecosystems. The Aeotec Smart Home Hub is the first “Works as a SmartThings Hub” that can integrate SmartThings compatible devices via Z-Wave, Zigbee or Wi-Fi.

Registrations and commitments
Packaging Ordinance
We care about the environment and try to minimize packaging waste. We will therefore reuse packaging and cartons as much as possible. With regard to the sales packaging that we placed on the German market for the first time, filled with goods and delivered to private end consumers, our company has joined the Landbell AG, Mainz, nationwide system in order to ensure compliance with our statutory obligations inaccordance with § 7 of the Packaging Act. Our registration number at Landbell is 4141183.
WEEE
The WEEE directive places an obligation on all EU-based manufacturers and importers to take-back electronic products at the end of their useful life. Z-Wave Europe accepts its responsibility to finance the cost of treatment and recovery in accordance with the specific WEEE recycling requirements. Z-Wave Europe tracks on every product that the manufacturer complies to the WEEE directive and labels their products accordingly. For all imports from overseas Z-Wave Europe is taking over all liabilities of the WEEE directive. This includes all labelings and the coverage for treatment and recycling. Z-Wave Europe is therefore member of the German “Stiftung Elektro-Altgeräteregister” Our registration number is DE 68973952.
